Archived: This event was in 2009.
The King of The Blues and John Mayall visit Manchester for one incredible night only.
BB King started his career playing for dimes on a street corner in Memphis. Fifty-five years later, he is one of the most important figures in blues history. He has played over 15,000 gigs all around the world, been awarded more prizes and honours that we have space to list here, attended the opening of a museum dedicated to his legacy in his hometown, and inspired generation after generation of musicians with his spectacular guitar skills. And, at 82, he shows no signs of stopping.
On this tour he is joined by John Mayall, the man behind UK band John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers. With over fifty albums to his name, this locally born musician is one of the country's most prolific and well-respected blues musicians, and has been credited with launching the careers of artists and bands like Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Keef Heartley Band and Mick Taylor.
Get tickets now to see two of the most influential blues men play eternal hits such as The Thrill is Gone, You Know I Love You, Woke Up This Morning, When My Heart Beats like a Hammer, Whole Lotta Love, Every Day I Have the Blues, Ten Long Years, Bad Luck, Sweet Little Angel and Room To Move.
