BIG DANCE 2008 AT ALBERT SQUARE - 5th - 10th July
In Dance
Archived: This event was in 2008.
This week, escape the world of overflowing intrays and email mountains with a free lunchtime dance class at Albert Square.
Big Dance is a national celebration of people taking part in dance. Think of all the places people dance: from formal ballrooms to wedding parties; tea dances to kids busting out moves on squares of lino in Piccadilly Gardens; nightclubs to bedrooms. Dancing is an integral part of life and Big Dance will be celebrating this across the country between 5th and 12th July.
In Manchester, Albert Square will be transformed into an outdoor dance spectacular with top choreographers ready to lead you in dancing away your workday worries from 12pm until 2pm. All the classes are free and there is no need to book a place - just switch off your computer, walk out of the office and come and dance in the sunshine!
