Black Power Films at Urbis Thursdays until 16 April

Urbis programmes a series of films and documentaries exploring the black power movement as part of the Black Panther: Emory Douglas and the Art of Revolution exhibition.
On 30th October, Urbis opened a new exhibition exploring the artwork and iconography of Emory Douglas, the Black Panthers minister for culture. This is the first time Douglas' work has been displayed in the UK, giving a fascinationg insight into the struggle for civil rights in America during the last century.
To complement the exhibition, Urbis are showing a series of films and documentaries exploring the black power movement within the gallery each Thursday from 4pm. Entry is free and the programme is as follows:
