Their production of Noel Coward’s Brief Encounter first opened in October 2007. Switching seamlessly between live action and film, Brief Encounter tells the story of a woman who must choose between her predictable suburban marriage or the love of her life when she meets a man in a railway station tearoom. The combination of Noel Coward’s brilliant script and Kneehigh’s superlative strain of expressive theatre has won four and five-star reviews from the most hardened critics in the business.
