Charlie and Lola

Charlie and Lola

Seen for the first time outside London, Charlie and Lola bring their bestest play to the city in an enchanting show for mummies, daddies and their little ones.

Watershed Productions are bringing their magical show Charlie and Lola's Best Bestest Play to Manchester following a hugely successful run in London. The play follows Charlie, 7, and his little sister Lola, 4 (and her best imaginary friend, Soren Lorenson), as they do everyday activities like tidying their rooms, having their dinner and going to bed. But Lola doesn't like tidying up, or peas (they are too small and too green), or going to bed (she isn't tired, not even when it's 13 o'clock and there are whales in the bath). When even the smallest of tasks can turn into an exciting adventure, will Charlie and Lola ever get to sleep?

Charlie and Lola have been capturing the hearts of children between 3 and 7 years old for years. Lauren Child's picture books are a staple of every nursery and inspired the hit TV show on BBC. With specially made puppets, voices they will recognise from the TV series and none of the bangs and crashes of the more rowdy pantomime, this show is the perfect way to introduce young children to the theatre for the first time. And with three shows each day and pink milk on sale too, how could you say no?

Fantastic family entertainment
By Laura Turner
We took our three year old this afternoon. What a lovely show and such a welcome change in a plastic world of Power Rangers and Spiderman. A joy to watch and highly recommended. Go and see it!
