Chicago brings all that jazz to Manchester's Palace Theatre.
Set in Chicago during the roaring 1920's, Chicago tells the story of two women, the impossibly sexy entertainer Velma Kelly and the baby faced ingénue Roxie Hart. Both are up for murdering the men who took them for fools. Their only chance for survival is to get public opinion on their side – but with a new broad on death row every day, how's a girl supposed to keep the press interested?
Bringing together Fosse's choreography and Kander and Ebb's music and lyrics, Chicago has wowed theatregoers since it opened in 1975 and gained a whole new audience after Catherine Zeta Jones and Renee Zellweger immortalised the roles in Rob Marshall's Oscar-winning film. Now the show is coming back to the Palace Theatre and with hit songs like All That Jazz, He Had It Coming, When You're Good To Mama and Razzle Dazzle you'll be swept away. Get tickets while you can!
