Classical Extravaganza at the Bridgewater Hall 5th July.

A summer feast of classical favourites conducted by John Wilson.

 

A superb evening's entertainment is promised from one of the nation's finest symphony orchestras. Expect to hear  Rossini's William Tell Overture, Grieg's Two Norwegian Dances, Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks: Overture, Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture (Fingal's Cave), Massenet's Méditation from Thais, Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, Sibelius's Karelia Suite: Intermezzo, Debussy's Clair de Lune, Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker: Waltz of the Flowers, Smetana's The Bartered Bride: Dance of the Comedians and J. Strauss II's Thunder and Lightning Polka.
