Rambert Dance Company brings an exquisite and witty new programme to The Lowry.
Over the last 10 years, Rambert Dance Company has been thrilling audiences with its exuberant choreography. Now it returns with a fantastic programme celebrating evolution and dance.
Comedy of Change was commissioned as part of the celebration of Charles Darwin year. Drawing inspiration from courtship dances, displays and nature's use of camouflage, artist director Mark Dawson's witty choreography is offset by production design headed by some of the very best contemporary artists including Kader Attia. The piece is complimented by Siobhan Davies' Carnival of the Animals and Itzik Galili's sinuous, samba-inspired A Linha Curva.
If you've never seen Rambert Dance Company in action, this accessible and effervescent programme is the perfect introduction to one of the UK's leading dance companies. Get tickets now!
