Controversial Show at the Zion Arts Centre and Green Room 5th to 22nd September

Archived: This event was in 2007.
A contraversial show exploring totalitarian religion at the turn of the 21st century is proving popular at the Zion Arts Centre and Green Room.
Fundamental mixes the work of renowned international artists with shocking photography smuggled out of Afghanistan under the brutal rule of the Taliban, post-invasion Iraq, and documenting the stratospheric rise of the Evangelical Christian Right.
The exhibition is profoundly moving in some places and uncomfortable in others, but never less than fascinating. In a society bombarded with messages about Islamic fundamentalists regularly by the media, the exhibition opens out the concept of fundamentalism to include societies, political groups and ideologies the world over.
