Roald Dahl's story of how Danny and his father outwit the horrible Victor Hazell is given new life in David Woods' adaptation.
Danny and his father live in a caravan on their little patch of land, the only land for miles around not owned by Victor Hazell. When Hazell tries to force Danny and his father to sell up, they wish they could teach him a lesson but how can two such poor people ever get the better of the most powerful man in the area? It seems like a silly dream - until Danny thinks up a plan that just might work...
David Woods has a solid pedigree for adapting Dahl's books with previous projects including The BFG and The Witches and his adaptation of another children's book, Phillipa Pearce's novel Tom's Midnight Garden, was recently staged at The Library Theatre to great acclaim. Danny the Champion of the World is sure to be a magical production; don't miss out!
