Dave Spikey at the Opera House 18th April
In Comedy
Manchester's favourite comedian, Dave Spikey, returns to the city to tickle the Opera House audience.
After appearing in Peter Kay's smash hit Phoenix Nights, Dave Spikey has become a household name. However, Spikey had spent 25 years on the northwest comedy circuit before appearing in Phoenix Nights, making him a well-known face on the comedy scene. Because of this, the Chorley-born comic has been well and truly adopted by the city and all local appearances tend to be hotly anticipated!
Last autumn saw Spikey return to the stage for the first time since 2005, and this spring sees him with a brand new show. The Best Medicine explores the theory that 'laughter is the best medicine' via tales of stunned guinea pigs, cannibals, sexual awakenings, laxative chocolate and the sun going round the moon... book early if you want tickets.
