Derren Brown’s career has included some memorable moments. Perhaps you remember the show that launched him to notoriety, in which he played Russian Roulette with a loaded gun live on Channel 4. Perhaps you remember his Halloween special, Séance, in which he convinced the nation that they were communicating with the spirit of a suicidal student from the 1970’s. Perhaps you were watching as he travelled across America, making unsuspecting clergymen declare that he was the Messiah.

Even if you did not see these shows, there is a good chance that you’ve heard of Derren Brown. Combining magic, suggestion, psychology, misdirection and showmanship, he has created a unique kind of entertainment.

Brown is much more than a television performer. Enigma will be his fourth stage show, following on from the huge success of shows such as Something Wicked This Way Comes, which won an Olivier Award for Best Entertainment Show in 2006.
