Victoria Wood's hilarious sitcom is transformed into a stage show that will have you rolling in the aisles.
First showing on BBC almost 10 years ago, Victoria Wood's sitcom Dinner Ladies quickly became a national favourite. The show follows the daily goings-on behind the kitchen counter at HWD Components, a factory in Manchester. Now the stage show recreates the well-loved second series, which follows the hesitant romance between co-workers Bren and Tony (egged on, of course, by Dolly, Jean, Twinkle and Anita).
The play sees one of Manchester's favourite actresses, Shobna Gulati, return to The Lowry as she reprises her character Anita from the sitcom. She is joined by original cast member Alan Dunn, who continues to play Tony, alongside new faces Laura Sheppard as Bren, Liz Bagley as Dolly and Jacqueline Clarke as Bren's unbearable mother, Petula.
After charming audiences and critics alike with its heady combination of pathos and innuendo during its spring / summer tour earlier this year, Dinner Ladies is ready to serve up belly laughs all round. Get tickets now!
