Disney’s High School Musical On Ice At MEN Arena 5th – 9th February 2009

The smash hit teen musical glides into Manchester.

High School Musical is the biggest success story for Disney this century, telling a tale that is one part Romeo and Juliet, two parts Grease. Troy (Zac Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) meet on holiday and end up singing karaoke together – but when Gabriella transfers to Troy’s school, their fledgling friendship takes a hit. He is a supercool jock, she is a beautiful geek. Surely it will take more than a talent show for the two of them to come together?

The made-for-TV film grossed over 7 million viewers when it first screened on the Disney Channel in the US and has since gone on to become a huge, multi-million dollar franchise. There are two sequels (the second of which is to have a cinema release in October 2008) and a third being written, theatrical tours, soundtracks and huge amounts of merchandise on everything from pyjamas to pencil cases.

Now children across the country can watch their heroes in action as Troy and Gabriella fight their differences on the ice! With all the songs fans loved from High School Musical 1 & 2 and skating from world-class professionals, this is going to be a spectacular show.
