Dizzee Rascal to play Manchester Academy 19th February

After the success of his recent album Maths + English, the award-winning MC has announced a UK tour for 2008.

Dizzee Rascal first exploded into the mainstream when his album Boy In Da Corner won the 2003 Mercury Music Prize. His fresh combination of grime, ragga and garage MCing combined with a huge range of samples and influences to create a sound which impressed critics and audiences across the country.

Since then, he has released two more albums. Most recent release Maths + English was also nominated for this year's Mercury Music Prize. He has also collaborated with acts as diverse as Basement Jaxx and Arctic Monkeys.
