Dylan Moran At Palace Theatre 14th & 18th October 2008

Dylan Moran, Manchester Palace Theatre - 14th & 18th Oct 2008

The award-winning Irish comic brings his new show, What It Is, to the Palace Theatre.

Dylan Moran became a household name following the success of his sitcom Black Books, in which he plays Bernard Black, a narcissistic, eccentric, bad-tempered and perpetually drunk bookstore owner. The series, which co-starred Bill Bailey, won two BAFTAs for best situation comedy and continues to be heralded as one of the best sitcoms of the last ten years.

He went on from Black Books to star alongside Simon Pegg in Shaun of the Dead and also appeared in the recent film Run Fatboy Run.

However, to see him simply as a comic actor is to underestimate Moran’s considerable talent for stand-up comedy. He was the youngest ever winner of the Perrier Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Festival at the age of 24 and, following Black Books, went on to sell out theatres around the world with his critically acclaimed tours Monster I, Monster II and Like, Totally.

If there are tickets left for his two-date appearance in Manchester by the time you read this, count yourself lucky and bag them quickly because his latest show, What It Is, will sell out for sure.
