European Masters Track Championships at National Cycling Centre, Sports City 27th July – 1st August
In Sports
Archived: This event was in 2009.
The very best cyclists from across Europe will gather in Manchester this summer for six days of intense competition.
This will be the second time Manchester has hosted the European Masters Track Championships. Grown from the legacy of the World Masters Track Championships following the untimely death of organiser Brian Cossavella, the competition gives older riders from around Europe the chance to compete across categories including Sprint, Pursuit, Time Trial and Points races, team sprints, and the Alan Geldard trophy, as well as participate in a final 10-mile scratch race in honour of Cossavella.
Continuing Manchester's legacy as a centre for sport following the Commonwealth Games, this is an opportunity to see Europe's finest cyclists in action.
