Joe DiPietro's rollercoaster play takes audiences on a whistle-stop tour of gay sexual politics.
Admit it. The sensational title caught your attention. But F***ing Men is actually one of the most critically acclaimed fringe successes of the last few years, and is set to be hailed as the Vagina Monologues for the gay community.
Taking in 10 stories in just under 90 minutes, F***ing Men is a hilarious, witty and often poignant exploration of sexual politics in today's gay scene of New York. Taking its lead from Schnitzler's La Ronde, the play moves from coupling to coupling as the characters experience love, lust and betrayal in the pursuit of gay sex.
It comes as no surprise that the play has struck a chord with theatregoers across the country. Joe DiPietro has a sterling pedigree as an observer of sexual politics, having previously penned America's longest-running off-Broadway hit I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. Teamed with award-winning director Phil Wilmot, this show will make you think, blush, laugh and cry. But be warned – this is definitely one for the adults so you might want to leave the kids at home!
