Flower Shows for the summer at Tatton Park, Knowsley and Southport
In Art
See the finest blooms across the North-West during July and August.
The floral season begins near Knutsford with the 2008 RHS Flower Show Tatton Park from 23rd - 27th July. This will be the show's 10th anniversary and promises to be bursting with fresh creative talent provided by the region's gardeners. Entry is £18.00 for RHS members and £21.00 for non-members with childrens tickets at £5.00.
On 10th August it will be the turn of Knowsley to host their free annual show and also celebrate 10 years of events. It's set within the grounds of Court Hey Park - the home of National Wildflower Centre – across 14 hectares of land. The day's activities includes children's fairground rides, live music, dance, jewellery making and samba drumming, plus a Gardeners Question Time where you can seek gardening tips.
The season closes with its most well-known event, the Southport Flower Show at the 34 acre Victoria Park from 21st - 24th August. Southport has a little more history than its neighbouring shows and is in its 79th year. It's established as the country's largest independent flower show and attracts up to 80,000 people per day. Tickets are £14.00 for adults and children can enter for free.
