One of the biggest indie bands of the last five years get set to hit Manchester.
After a surprise appearance at The Warehouse Project, Franz Ferdinand have announced that they are to return to Manchester for a date at Manchester Academy.
The group have made a massive impact on the indie scene with hits such as Take Me Out, The Dark of the Matinee and This Fire, while their first album garnered them two Brit Awards, a Mercury Music prize and NME’s Album of the Year award.
However, it is their reputation for stunning live shows which has cemented their place among the greatest rock and indie bands of the day. Their infectious guitar riffs and boundless energy means that wherever they perform they are greeted by huge, bouncing crowds who sing along to every track as though their lives depended on it.
Now the band are preparing to tour with the release of their third album, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, which combines their trademark rock sound with African influences. Fans have already had a taste of the new material after a surprise appearance at The Warehouse Project’s Erol Alkan party, which led to hundreds of people paying huge amounts for tickets in the hope of getting into the sell-out gig.
You can be sure that this gig will sell out well in advance. Get your tickets now!
