Inspiral Carpets at Manchester Academy 14th March

The legendary Madchester group announce details of a new UK tour in 2008

The Inspiral Carpets' music and spirit epitomised the creativity of the early 90’s, and together with the Happy Mondays and The Stone Roses brought psychedelic indie-guitar "Madchester" kicking and screaming into the mainstream.

The Inspirals achieved huge success between 1989 and 1994, earning 13 Top 40 singles with the likes of 'Joe', 'Dragging Me Down', 'Saturn 5', 'This Is How It Feels' and 'She Comes In The Fall' and Top 20 albums including 'Life' (1990), 'The Beast Inside' (1991), 'Revenge Of The Goldfish' (1992) and 'Devil Hopping' (1994).

The band split in 1995 to persue other projects. Most notably, band member Clint Boon has gone on to great success as a radio DJ on XFM Manchester and club DJ at the popular Clint Boon Experience at South nightclub. However, the band have stayed in close contact since that time and reformed in 2001 and then again in 2007 to sell-out shows around the country.
