After winning the heart of the nation on the BBC, actor and singer John Barrowman embarks on his first ever solo tour.

Scottish-born and American-bred John Barrowman is best known for his TV appearances as Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and its spinoff Torchwood, as well as for his role as a judge on the BBC talent search shows Any Dream Will Do, How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria and I'd Do Anything, which set out to discover the newest star of the West End musical. However, he has also starred in many, many West End and Broadway musicals himself, including Miss Saigon, Beauty and the Beast, Hair, Chicago, Sunset Boulevard and Phantom of the Opera.

He has recently released a brand new album combining his love of musicals with pop and country music. Another Side is already set to be one of the biggest selling albums of Christmas 2008, and to celebrate he is embarking on his first ever solo tour. Taking in most of the major cities in the UK, he will be supported in Manchester by Nicola Hughes, twice-nominated Best Actress in a Musical at the Olivier Awards and recent star of Sir Trevor Nunn's West End revival of Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.
