Hip hop superstar Kanye West announces he will finish the UK leg of his massive "Glow In The Dark Tour" in Manchester.

With nine grammy awards under his belt and three hugely successful albums, Kanye West is one of the biggest names in hip hop. He was already well-established in the USA when his track Gold Digger propelled him into the UK mainstream, earning him both chart success and a massive fan base that has continued to grow with every release.

Eschewing the 'guns and ho's' scene for wordplay, killer samples and politically charged lyrics, West is something of a cavalier in the hip hop scene. He has worked with a huge range of artists from Chris Martin from Coldplay to Jay-Z, who invited him to make a guest appearance during his recent Manchester show, and is credited with not only creating his own huge hits but also for upping the games of artists such as Janet Jackson, Common, Mos Def, Alicia Keyes, John Legend and, most recently, Estelle.

As well as garnering attention for his musical skills, the rapper has also found himself in the limelight on many occasions after speaking out against George Bush (especially in the wake of Hurricane Katrina), homophobia and attitudes towards HIV.

The Glow In The Dark tour has already visited the UK. With special guest appearances, an incredible stage show and a songlist covering The College Dropout, Late Registration and Graduation, it is no wonder that dates for the previous leg sold out in minutes.
