Following the success of #2 single Foundations and follow up single Mouthwash, Kate Nash is set to play two Manchester dates as part of her forthcoming March tour.

2007 was a good year for the singer. In February her first release, Caroline is a Victim, was seen frequently on MTV 2 and she appeared on both Jools Holland and Popworld around that time. Shortly afterwards, a parody of her song entitled LDN is a Victim which satirised Nash, Lily Allen, Jack Penate, soul singer Adele, Klaxons and the other London 'scenesters' of the moment caught the attention of the media and suddenly Nash became a mainstream artist.

Since then, a rigorous touring schedule and performances on both television and major festival stages raised her profile further. Foundations, her first major release with current record label Fiction Records, went into the charts at #2 despite the reluctance of radio stations to play the track until the week of its release. The surprise success of this pushed the release of her album forward and it quickly took the #1 spot in the UK charts.

Though her dance beats, folky voice and obvious lyrics combination has earnt her a large crowd of critics, an equally large number think her sharp observations and dry humour place her above much of the music in the charts today. Whatever your opinion on her, you are sure to have one - Kate Nash has firmly established herself as one of the most talked about artists of the moment.
