Keane At MEN Arena 31st January 2009
In Gigs
The UK’s biggest piano rock band is set to play Manchester’s biggest venue.
When Keane first arrived on the scene in 2004, they were dismissed by many as Coldplay imitators. However, singles such as Somewhere Only We Know, Bedshaped and Everything is Changing earned them both chart-topping success and critical acclaim. By the time second album Under the Iron Sea hit the #1 spot, Keane were confirmed as no tribute band, but an influential new voice in the British music scene.
Fans are now eagerly awaiting the release of their third album, Perfect Symmetry. The band have taken a brand new direction with this album, embracing a new, more playful attitude. The self-produced release features the musical saw and vocals recorded through drums alongside the catchy choruses and emotive lyrics the band have become famous for.
Keane will celebrate the release of Perfect Symmetry with a UK-wide arena tour, including a date at Manchester Evening News Arena. With a reputation for shows that leave every member of the audience on their feet and cheering, this tour is sure to sell out quickly.
