See the critically acclaimed West End musical at Manchester’s Opera House this April.
Seymour is down on his luck. Trapped in a life on Skid Row where he works in Mr Mushnik’s flower shop, the only bright spot in his life is his secret love for his co-worker, Audrey. But he becomes an overnight sensation when he comes across a strange and unusual plant, Audrey II. As the plant grows, it becomes an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, RnB-singing carnivore with the power to offer Seymour everything his greasy little heart desires. But just how far will Seymour go to satisfy Audrey II’s craving for fresh blood?
When the Meiner Chocolate Factory Company’s revival of this slick musical opened in London’s West End back in 2007, it garnered rave reviews across the board. Directed by Matthew White and starring Clare Buckfield as Audrey and Damian Humbley as Seymour, this knockout production features the musical that has made Little Shop of Horrors a worldwide hit, including Suddenly Seymour, Feed Me and Don’t Feed The Plant.
With The Times saying “As snappy as a Venus flytrap and executed with such panache, what can you do but succumb to the groping tendrils of its guilty pleasures?”, this show will have you singing, dancing, and thinking about botany in a whole different light!
