Lucy Porter brings her latest show, The Bare Necessities, to Manchester.
If you’ve grown tired of cynical, deadpan comics and their gloomy musings, Lucy Porter could be the one to restore your love of comedy. Since her first appearance at the 2002 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Porter has been winning over critics and audiences alike with her combination of innocence, charm and razor-sharp observational comedy.
The Bare Necessities sees Porter in thoughtful mode as she looks at what is really important in life, taking in the erosion of civil liberties, the rise of surveillance society, buying gin at Lidl and the joy of eating Jaffa cakes in your pyjamas.
Described as 'the comedy equivalent of a Radox bath' and 'a candy apple stuffed with razorblades', Porter is one of the most polished and likeable comics on the circuit. This show will leave you with a twinkle in your eye and a stitch in your side – get tickets today.
