The story of the world’s best-loved nanny brings a spoonful of sugar to Manchester this Christmas.
After over 1000 shows in the West End, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s musical travels up to Manchester’s Palace Theatre for Christmas.
The musical centres around two children, Jane and Michael Banks. When yet another nanny walks out on the children, Mr and Mrs Banks decide that the next nanny must be strict and firm. But they don’t realise that the nanny they hire, Mary Poppins, is no ordinary nanny...
The London production has won many prestigious awards including an Olivier Award for Best Theatre Choreography (Matthew Bourne and Stephen Mear), the Variety Club Award for Best Musical and the Evening Standard Award for Best Set Design (Bob Crowley) and Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Award for Best Design (Bob Crowley).
With many of the songs from the Disney film and a stellar cast, this will be the perfect festive outing for all the family.
