Bid a sophisticated farewell to 2008 with Manchester Camerata and The Bridgewater Hall.
The Bridgewater Hall has long been considered one of the most sophisticated venues in the city, and this year's New Year's Eve Gala promises to be the most elegant New Year's celebration in Manchester.
Guests are invited to wear formal dress ready for their red carpet welcome, after which they are taken on a timeless journey through operatic romance, cabaret, jazz and festive favourites.
Conductor Robert Ziegler and mezzo soprano Frances Bourne lead the way through a programme featuring Rossini, Mozart, Offenbach, Britten and Gershwin that will leave you feeling uplifted and excited to greet the new year.
