PUMA showcases Manchester music talent at MoHo Live 17th June with Hadouken!

Two local bands will join Hadouken! at the PUMA Manchester music talent event.

Manchester’s famed for its music heritage, but the other side of the Pennines has stolen the city’s crown recently, with bands such as Kaiser Chiefs and Arctic Monkeys taking over where Oasis and The Stone Roses left off. PUMA plans to redress the balance and is on the hunt for Manchester’s most promising talent on the music scene.

The winning bands have now been chosen. Those who fancy themselves as talent scouts can also get involved and will enter themselves into a prize draw by nominating undiscovered bands.

PUMA’s favourite two bands, The Sticks and Solarson, have received a profile boosting opportunity to play alongside Hadouken! (www.myspace.com/hadoukenuk) at an exclusive gig on 17th June at Moho Live in Manchester. Plus, a track will also be chosen to feature in a PUMA marketing campaign. Other prizes up for grabs for bands and talent scouts include money-can’t-buy-tickets to the gig and heaps of gear from PUMA’s legendary lifestyle ranges.

The Sticks play an upbeat melee of indie, rock and punk influenced tunes. Solarson are inspired by an eclectic mix of artists from The Doves to Kasabian and have even supported Jesus Jones in a gig at the Carling Academy. PUMA thought that Solarson was a great act to pick; their music defines the Manchester music scene of today and they are a band that refuses to be pigeon holed.
