Pink at MEN Arena 23rd October
In Gigs
Archived: This event was in 2009.
If you missed out on Pink tickets for her March gigs, you have another chance to see her in action this October.
If you like your singer-songwriters sweet, sentimental and girly, you should stay as far away from Pink as possible. Since she arrived on the scene in 2000 Pink has revelled in speaking her mind, whether she’s bearing her soul in songs like Family Portrait or dishing out some serious attitude in songs like U + Ur Hand.
Her new album, Funhouse, is her most personal work to date. With many of the songs addressing the break-up of her marriage to motorcross star Corey Hart, heartbreak runs through the album. But alongside the self-reflection of songs like Crystal Ball and the vulnerability of I Don’t Believe You, Funhouse is shot through with Pink’s trademark attitude and humour. So What is already an anthem for single girls everywhere.
With 23 million album sales, two Grammys and five MTV Video Music Awards under her belt, it is no surprise that her shows in March sold out well before the gig. But if you missed her last time she was in town, you have another chance to experience Funhouse live in October. Get tickets while you can!
