Ricky Gervais announces a string of dates to celebrate his fourth stand-up show.

Ricky Gervais is one of Britain's most successful comics. He has performed stand up comedy in almost every significant venue in the UK, his TV shows Extras and The Office are cult classics, and his films For Your Consideration, Stardust, Night at the Museum and Ghost Town played to full cinemas. He has picked up enough awards over his career to make him seem invincible. Now he has announced that he will be embarking on a fourth stand up show and will stop off in Manchester for three nights this November.

If you have never seen Gervais live, you will be surprised by his on-stage persona. Dropping the deadpan irony that made The Office and Extras so successful, his stand up shows are sharp, vicious and often flirt with bad taste. They are also horrifically, uncompromisingly funny – which is perhaps why his last tour, Fame, stretched across 10 months and still ended with 23 sold out shows at London's Hammersmith Apollo.
