Slava's Snow Show at The Lowry 28th October - 1st November 2008
In Theatre
If you are ever going to take a chance on a piece of theatre, go to see Slava’s Snow Show.
Slava’s Snow Show is a genuine comic masterpiece and a truly unique theatrical experience, doing for clowning what Cirque De Soleil has done for the circus. It is hard to describe exactly what this show does - a rope becomes a noose, then a picture frame, a lover; silent figures in oversized shoes and helicopter-blade hats travel the world in shuffling steps; a love letter becomes a blizzard. However, what is definite is that this world of shifting realities leaves audiences laughing even as they are moved to tears.
Picking up awards and lyrical reviews everywhere it goes, Slava’s Snow Show is already nearing sold out status – but if you can get hold of tickets, do it now. You will be glad that you did.
