The Big Chill is a unique experience. Combining hot music acts with comedy and poetry, this family-friendly festival has a laid-back, grown-up vibe that makes it a favourite among chilled out people in their twenties and early thirties.

To celebrate its 15th anniversary, The Big Chill has pushed the boat out and the line-up looks to be its best ever. Among the acts heading up the music front are seminal outfit Orbital, quirky popsters Alphabeat, nu-soul queen Alice Russell, former Jedi Knight and eclectic DJ Tom Middleton, local favourite Mr Scruff and a one-off appearance from former Manchester band Lamb.

But The Big Chill has always had a wider scope than music. This year sees Dylan Moran headline the comedy offering, alongside stand-ups such as Josie Long, Craig Campbell, Alex Horne, Ian Stone, and musical comic Mitch Benn. Those after a more cultural hit can enjoy poetry by established writers like Brian Patten or discover the newest talents through Apples and Snakes.

With its ‘anything goes’ attitude, The Big Chill is the most inclusive festival around. Feel part of the community this year!
