Greenroom hosts some of Manchester's favourite home-grown talent in a celebration of seminal open mic night Manchester Busker.
Manchester Busker started out as a series of 14 small theatre shows held over the eigth years between 1988 and 1996. Led by Chris Coupe, the shows crammed as many acts as possible onto the bill in a rollercoaster ride through music, performance, poetry and comedy.
Though Manchester has hosted scores of open mic night since, the Manchester Busker shows have achieved legendary status after many of the artists who performed there went on to become established and celebrated in their own rights.
Now the Manchester Busker is celebrating its 21st anniversary. Held at the Manchester Busker's first home, Greenroom, the night will bring together some of the best acts from its history and new acts destined for great things in a celebration of Manchester's hottest talent.
