Arthur Miller's play follows one man’s struggle to change his fate.
Set in Midwest America the play centres on David Beeves. Blessed with good fortune, David’s life can’t get much better. But as the lives of those around him begin to crumble, he starts to question his own destiny and asks the question – is there such a thing as too much luck?
David Beeves is played by Bolton-born Andrew Buchan, known for TV programmes such as Cranford Chronicles, Whistleblower, Party Animals and Jane Eyre. Alongside Andrew are an array of TV faces including Shaun Dingwall (Spooks, Messiah, Sex in the City), Sandra Voe (Vera Drake, Midsummer Murders, The Hello Girls), Aidan Kelly (On the Edge, The Clinic), Roy Sampson (Taggart, New Tricks), Felix Scott (Lewis, Wire in the Blood), Michelle Terry (Extras), James Hayes (Walking the Dead, A Question of Guilt) and Nigel Cooke (Heartbeat, Oliver Twist, The Bill).
The production has been brought to Salford by The Donmar Warehouse, whose previous productions have met with great acclaim and won awards.
