The Roots have announced a UK tour to celebrate the success of their eighth album, Rising Down.

The Roots are a must see gig for anyone who loves hip hop, with four Grammy nominations, a string of hit albums and a reputation for the best live shows in the genre. New album Rising Down is something of a departure for the group, marrying The Roots' eclectic Philadephia hip-hop sound with a darker political undertone, taking its inspiration from the Rodney King riots of 1992 and helped along by guest appearances from artists such as Mos Def and Common.
