The Ting Tings Homecoming Xmas Party at the Warehouse Project

As a final addition the WHP lineup, The Ting Tings will be performing a special one-off pre New Year live show, taking place on Tuesday 29th December.

To hear the hype, you might imagine that Jules de Martino and Katie Hill grew up in an achingly cool district of New York, studied at some outlandish art school in Iceland and then sauntered out onto the scene armed with a bagful of tunes bestowed on them by God.

Actually, the pair come from Salford. Yes, Salford. They first started writing tunes together when Katie had just left school and had moderate success with early band Dear Eskimo before that bit the dust. After that they honed their own brand of pop between shifts behind the bar at Islington Mill.
