Tori Amos at Manchester Apollo 6th September

Tori Amos brings her Abnormally Addicted to Sin tour to Manchester this autumn.
After almost 20 years in the music business, Tori Amos still stands as a unique voice among American singer-songwriters. Standing somewhere between Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, her music is charged with lyrics examining power relationships, religion, the female experience and the changing political landscape without losing its sense of personal honesty.
Over the years she has picked up ten Grammy nominations and released a string of hits such as Silent All These Years, Crucify, Cornflake Girl and Professional Widow (which became a surprise club hit after a bootleg remix by Armand Van Helden). And now news of her latest album, Abnormally Attracted to Sin, has excited fans. The album is something of a meditation on the last 14 years, inspired by a new relationship with her first ever mentor, Doug Morris, who was responsible for launching her career with Atlantic Records in the early 90’s. With a pared back production style and the focus squarely back on her voice and her famous Bosendorfer piano, the album is a return to everything that made Tori Amos one of the most outstanding musical talents of the last two decades.
Her Manchester date this September is the first of only 4 UK gigs. If you want to be among the first people to hear her extraordinary new material live, we suggest you buy tickets now.
