Torvill and Dean – Dancing on Ice at MEN Arena 16th to 19th April

As Torvill and Dean celebrate the 25th anniversary of Bolero and their Olympic gold medal, the Dancing on Ice Tour 2009 looks bigger and better than ever.

When Torvill and Dean took to the ice and the first strains of Ravel’s Bolero began to play, England held its breath. The national news was delayed. The House of Commons stopped mid-debate. As the judges awarded the pair twelve perfect 6.0’s, the country went wild.

Twenty-five years on, Torvill and Dean will celebrate their success with the third ever Dancing on Ice Tour. Following the tremendous success of the television show, Dancing on Ice is a chance to see all your favourite stars perform live before your eyes as the Manchester Evening News Arena is transformed into an ice skating rink.

The full line-up has been revealed, with stars such as Chris Fountain, Melinda Messenger, Roxanne Pallett, Ray Quinn, Zoe Salmon and Jessica Taylor lined up to pit their dancing skills against past winners Suzanne Shaw and Kyran Bracken and this year’s favourite, Todd Carty.

The judges are led by gold medallist Robin Cousins and will feature Karen Barber, Ruthie Henshaw, Nicky Slater and a very special guest judge at each show.

Each star and their partner will perform routines and you will have the chance to vote by text for your favourite. The winning team will perform a very special routine at the end of the show and all profits from the text vote will go to charity. So far, the past two tours have raised an incredible £45,000.
