Whitney Houston at MEN Arena 8th – 9th April

Whitney Houston chooses Manchester to open her first live tour in more than a decade.
After picking up 411 awards over the course of her 20-year career, selling more than 140 million albums, and breaking hearts (and records) the world over with tearjerker I Will Always Love You, it is fair to say that Whitney Houston remains one of the most influential singers in history. After a few years in the wilderness she's back on form with new album I Look To You, and a new single as flawless as anything she released at the top of her career. But since her My Love Is Your Love tour in 1999, there hasn't been an opportunity for Whitney's fans to see her sing live – until now.
In a massive coup for Manchester, Whitney has decided to stage the first night of her comeback tour at the Manchester Evening News Arena. When the tickets for her 8th April gig went on sale they sold out in minutes – but now Whitney Houston has announced a second night in the city. Expect the concert to be euphoric, teaming up classic Whitney hits like I Want To Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me), One Moment In Time, Where Do Broken Hearts Go, I'm Every Woman, and It's Not Right But It's OK with tracks from her new album, led by the phenominal hit Million Dollar Bill.
Tickets for this gig are selling at a phenomenal rate so if you want to be there as a living legend reclaims her place in the spotlight, you had better move fast.
