World Championship Boxing At Men Arena 6th September 2008
In Sports
Commonwealth lightweight champion Amir Khan and world super-featherwight title-holder Alex Arthur appear on the bill of one of this year's biggest fight nights.
This will be the first time Scots supreme Alex Arthur has defended his title in the ring. It looks to be a stiff fight with his opponent, Nicky Cook, bringing the experience of 29 pro fights, with only one loss and sixteen KOs.
However, it is sure that all eyes will be on Khan’s fight. The Bolton-born boxer will be back in his own neighbourhood after a crushing knockdown at the end of June at the hands of super-featherweight Michael Gomez ended his dreams of winning the World Champion title before his 22nd Birthday.
Tickets are already going fast for this chance to see two of the strongest boxers of our generation in action.
