Since it hit our screens in 2002, X Factor has become the must-see show of the decade. From the cringe-worthy auditions to the excitement of the live final, the show has been keeping us glued to the sofa on Saturday nights for seven years and, according to one survey, has made Simon Cowell more recognisable than Jesus.
